Name the problem in your own words
Maybe an ad caught your eye. Maybe someone mentioned a treatment, and now you are trying to work out what it means. Begin with what brought you here. Write down the change you hope for, what troubles you most, and any steps you have already taken. A useful opening for a visit is a description of your concern. It does not have to be a request for a particular product.
A peptide is a brief chain of amino acids, the units that form proteins; the word describes its makeup, rather than a kind of care.

Identify the kind of medicine
The federal agency named Food and Drug Administration uses FDA for short. In compounding, a doctor or pharmacist makes the drug; the person does not receive a manufacturer’s finished product.

Check who would assess you
For a person in Irvine, the California Medical Board says a doctor providing telehealth needs a current California license, even if the doctor lives elsewhere; this rule was checked September 28, 2026.

Before arranging it, ask who will conduct the assessment and what professional license that person holds. A business name alone does not give you a person to check. The license notes show where to take the name and which state board to choose.
Choose how to have the conversation
Consider what you want from the visit. Is it easier to describe the concern face to face, or would a remote conversation fit your day? Ask how the service handles questions that need more discussion. Ask what happens if the person assessing you needs information that cannot be gathered through that visit.
California can allow an assessment before prescribing through telehealth, including a questionnaire. The law checked September 26, 2026 still requires the care standard to be met: the reviewer must gather enough information about your health concern to make the care decision properly. A form alone does not show that this condition has been met. Ask what information the reviewer needs and where you would go for any examination or test needed for the decision.

Leave your search with something concrete: a concern to discuss, a full product name if one has been proposed, and a person whose license you can look up. There is no need to collect every unfamiliar term before speaking with someone. If the product or process is still unclear, make that the next question. The point of preparation is a clearer conversation, with room to hear an answer you did not expect.
